“I went to meet a newborn baby.
Even though I had never met or spoken to her before, she felt so important to me. I realized that existence- life as it is- is precious. This is something you hear a lot but for the first time, I felt like I really understood what it meant.
I wonder when I began to think that simply existing isn’t enough.
As I looked at my recent pictures, I realized that I might be searching for the dignity of existence through photography.
Beautiful or not beautiful, loved or not loved.
All of us were born to die- we are all pitiful and lovely beings.
We are all strong and twinkling and then, gone.”
